The Advantage of joining the
CWU
The CWU speaks up for and defends members should
they find themselves in difficulties, in many cases providing expensive legal
representation at no cost to the member. There are not many members that do not
at some time find themselves requiring the services of the CWU whom in the last
year won damages exceeding 50 million pounds for its members. The union also
pays for you to visit a local solicitor free of charge to seek advice on any
legal problem you may have such as consumer problems, wills and conveyancing,
disputes with a neighbour, matrimonial disputes, etc.
The union also offers members preferential rates
on personal loans, mortgages and life assurance, insurance services, holiday,
travel and accident insurance and discounts at thousands of shops, restaurants
and major stores throughout the UK.
